Donahue Schriber brought in national retailers like Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy
to appeal to local residents as well as the nearby hotel and business traffic.
The opening of Creekside was designed to coincide with the opening of the new regional mall, to
maximize the publicity and traffic to the center.
To establish Creekside's own identity, Donahue Schriber created a food village and community
gathering areas.
Donahue Schriber also incorporated natural elements into the center's architecture. For example,
the look of the trellis-covered walkway ties in with the creek that runs behind the center.
Donahue Schriber brought in a mixture of quick-style eateries as well as higher-end restaurants
like the area's first P.F. Chang's, making Creekside a destination for all times of the day.
